The Heart of DETROIT

Detroit once one of the most popular cities in the United States, is trying to make a comeback. A lot of people sleep on the city once know as “Motown” or shall I say Hitsville USA. Back in the 60′s and 70′s Detroit use to be a well known attraction site where everyone wanted to live such as Hollywood, Atlanta and Miami. But why did such a beautiful city go down hill? As soon as it started become more and more popular the more people started to move in, the worse the economy got and the crime rates began to get higher and that is when the media started to give Detroit a bad name.

I love Detroit and one day soon we are going to bounce back just like an old fashion trend that comes back in style. We are the home of the Big 3 auto industries, Chrysler,GM and Ford. We have our own based home brands such as Bettermaid, Faygo and the world known brand Kelloggs cereal. Detroit helped pave away for today’s music industry with the help of Berry Gordy, founder of Motown. Well known artists, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, The Temptations and even the King of Pop Michael Jackson were all signed under Motown record label. 

I can honestly say that Yes Detroit has gotten worse but it is our fault!!! We have to learn how to take care of our city instead of destroying it. Many people are trying to gain the heart of Detroit back and fix up Downtown and metro Detroit by adding more attraction sites. How could you not notice those three huge casinos? There is always something to do here in the summer hart plaza host free festivals, there’s the lovely riverwalk, and in the winter you can go ice skating at campus martius!!!!

So actually there is nothing I would change about Detroit I believe that as soon as our economy get better Detroit will be right back on the map!!!
